Sunnyslope owns and maintains approximately 80 miles of buried water mains to provide water to every customer. Along with the water mains and services Sunnyslope maintains over 900 fire hydrants for our fire protection. Large tanks at the tops of hills provide water storage for emergencies and pressurize the system. Water pressure at your house primarily depends on how much lower you are than the tank.
Daily water quality tests are performed throughout the entire system by our highly qualified staff to ensure that all the water is safe. Maintenance staff are ready 24/7 to respond to water leaks, main breaks, or other emergency situations with the water system.
Some regular activities include checking chlorine residuals, repairing leaks, exercising valves, flushing hydrants, reading water meters, and monitoring tank levels.
