Remember to turn off your irrigation in the winter time when it rains.
Don't waste water and money by irrigating when you don't have to!
Outside irrigation can account for more than half of all water used in the Hollister area. During winter, plants do not need as much water due to the shorter days and cooler temperatures. Take advantage of the free natural irrigation from rain. Reducing your outside irrigation over the winter can save $25-$50 per month on your water bill.
You can either turn your irrigation controller into the OFF setting or you can close the main valve to your irrigation system.
If you need assistance adjusting your irrigation controller please contact the San Benito Water Resource Association in the link below. They will help program your controller and offer other free water conservation assistance.
